My Moggies
I have four moggy’s at the moment they’re not youngsters and I’ve had them for many years now. They are house cats and don’t go out unless I’m in the rear garden, they come back in with me or they’re out in the cat run getting some fresh air without the worry of deceased animals getting at them and I can have my windows wide open getting some air around the house during nicer days.
Phoebe – About 13 years old now, big fluff ball, she loves everyone, hasn’t got a nasty bone in her body. I’ve had her since she was 6 weeks old, she was this tiny ball of fluff, she’s the eldest of all the cats but she’s still my baby, my Phoebe Bebe I call her. She’s taken Kiyan under her wing, which is funny to see because of the size difference, he may get lost in all the fur. Geordie - Until fairly recently he’s been the only male cat, I don’t know if I should include him under my moggy’s as he’s really my daughters cat and he’s another one we’ve had since he was 6 weeks old, he will be going to live with her and her husband as they will be moving into their own home shortly. He’s about 12 years old, and poor old boy gets pestered by the girls when they’re calling and disappears onto the top of one of my kitchen cabinets as it’s the only place he can get away from them.
Chloe and Drusilla – These girls are sisters and again they around 12 years old now, I took them in along with their mum as a stray when they were born in a neighbours shed, apparently she didn’t belong to anyone locally, Tilly (we called mum) never one to be a house cat but a brilliant mum, even took to hunting and bringing home food for her kittens (live grass snakes too). When the time came had the vaccinations and had them all neutered, this however didn’t stop Tilly’s wanderlust and eventually stopped coming back altogether, flyers, checks with the RSPCA, local vets etc didn’t result in us finding her, don’t think she wanted to be found (to her way of thinking she was never lost). They’re about the same age as Geordie as when he came to live with us Tilly allowed him to feed alongside the others which I was pleased about as he in my opinion was not really ready to be away from his mum.
